Ground Beef Casserole
Corn, tomatoes, and potatoes and cheese make this ground beef casserole a whole meal.
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 can (15 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
2 cups thinly sliced uncooked potatoes
1/2 cup flour
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese
Combine beef, onion, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine corn, potatoes, flour, and chopped green bell pepper.
Place beef mixture in a shallow casserole or baking dish in layers with
corn and potato mixture. Bake uncovered at 375° for 45 minutes; then sprinkle
with cheese and bake ground beef casserole 30 minutes longer, or until
vegetables are done.
