8 bacon slices, chopped
2 onions, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced 1/4-inch thick
3 cans (15 oz.EACH) red kidney beans, undrained
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 1/4 teaspoons Lawry'sŪ Red Pepper Seasoned Salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Lawry'sŪ Garlic Powder with Parsley

In large, heavy stockpot, cook bacon over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, until almost crisp; drain fat. Add onions and green pepper; cook over medium high heat until tender, about 7 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 8 servings.

Meal Suggestion: Serve over rice and accompany with crisp green salad and corn muffins, if desired.

Hint: For parties, recipe can easily be doubled. Cook a day ahead then reheat on top of cooktop.
